Meet Darlene
I’m Darlene Jebailey, Salon and Spa Owner/Operator, and long time hairstylist. I started my career in 1993 and it was then that I discovered my love for hair cutting! I worked at the Head Shoppe in The Halifax Shopping Centre for over 20 years where I worked with many talented stylists gaining experience and learning something new everyday. My passion to make people feel comfortable, beatiful and listened to.
In September of 2013, an opportunity was presented to me and I took the leap; Blush Hair Studio was born. Since then I have enjoyed building a team of stylists and estheticians to work beside me and make our shop feel more like a home.
I look forward to welcoming you into Blush Hair Studio for all your beauty needs.
Meet Anna
Hi! I’m Anna Laprade. I’ve been a passionate stylist since 2010 and a longtime lash extensions specialist. I’ve been with Blush Hair Studio since we opened in 2013.
I get a lot of joy from taking classes and teaching them! I lean more towards more natural styles that you can look effortlessly beautiful in. I am trained in the sew in hair extension method and various others. Please reach out for any inquiries.
Behind the chair you’ll hear me talking about my family which includes my daughters and husband- also love telling stories about my parents, dogs and friends.
It’s been a pleasure to serve Herring Cove and if I haven’t met you yet, I look forward to seeing you in my chair (or on your wedding day #weddinghairspecialist).
Meet Melissa
Hey there! I’m Melissa and I have been with Blush since 2019; I have been in the hair industry since 2003.
In school I never thought I would be so passionate about everything this industry has offered me- Boy, was I wrong! I have also worked as an educator for almost 5 years – I think we have a responsibility to pass on what we’ve learned. I am Internationally Redken Certified and love all of the science in hair! (you can call me a Super Nerd!)
In the salon I am always laughing and truly enjoying myself with my clients.
Outside of Blush, I am with my nephews, on the ball field or taking classes.

Meet Katy
Katy is a dedicated healthcare professional with a dula focus on Neurology and Aesthetic medicine. Graduating with a Master’s in Nursing, Katy is committed to enhancing client well-being through comprehensive care and advanced medical expertise.
Katy embarked on a new venture as a Certified Cosmetic Injector. Specializing in Neurotoxin treatments for the forehead, glabella, and crow’s feet areas, Katy combines her medical proficiency with an artistic touch to deliver natural and rejuvenating results.
Meet Emily
Hey! I’m Emily Borgal-Weeks, I have been an esthetician at Blush since February 2021. I am still pretty new to the beauty industry, that being said I am very passionate about the work I do and love making people feel their very best!
Some of my favourite services to do are pedicures, facials, Gel nails and creating nail art! And speaking of art, it has always been a passion of mine and now being able to put it on peoples nails is honestly a dream come true!
I love sharing stories about my two crazy little dogs, my family and friends!
I grew up in Herring Cove/Spryfield, so I love seeing familiar faces and I love meeting new ones! I look forward to seeing you soon!
